Magdalis Melo
Magdalis Melo is the President and Founder of Magda Green Design. Starting her passion of design in 2004, she went on to graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from the Art Institute of Philadelphia in 2008. Thereafter, she continued her education at Temple University where she received her certification in Project Management. In her 14-year career, she has joined many docent organizations and has obtained success through design projects including residential and commercial designs, as well as community events, including educational seminars. Magda enjoys traveling to different countries to experience diversity in food, culture, and art. She believes that by traveling and meeting new cultures, it helps create the ability to develop a different design perspective that can be used in many forms of art.
Anais Camilo
Anais Camilo is our senior designer and office manager. After obtaining her Associates degree in interior design at the Community College of Philadelphia in 2015, she assisted with the architectural project of the designing and execution of building an aesthetically pleasing night club in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Regularly attending national workshops, residential and commercial expos inspires her to continuously expand her knowledge and experience to create fresh, new ideas for the company. You’ll find Anais assisting our drafters with floor layouts, computer modeling, and 3D renderings all while always exploring new ways to implement design methods.
Christopher J. Menna
Christopher J. Menna, P.E., F.ASCE is Principal of Menna Engineers & Associates serving Magda Green Design for approximately five years and counting, primarily providing structural engineering, constructability, and special inspection support. Offering 26 years of experience, including 10 years of college level teachings, he is one of the most sought after freelance structural engineers in the Greater Philadelphia Region. Chris is a registered professional engineer in six states and is a well-known leader in professional engineering organizations. He is lauded for his ability to rework incomplete projects – essentially saving and/or cleaning up the work of other professionals. Chris offers a wealth of knowledge, having worked for contractors, government agencies, and consultants. Chris is recognized for service above oneself, honesty, integrity, and attention to detail. He cares for his clients and sticks with them to completion.
Yohani Moya
Yohani Moya, is the company’s design and structure consultant. He provides estimating cost, construction and material advisory, as well as inspections and surveys. With a thorough enjoyment in construction analysis, Yohani received his Associate’s degree in Construction Management at the Community College of Philadelphia in 2009. Continuing his education, he then received his Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering and Construction Technology from Temple University in 2014. During his career, he has obtained multiple certifications in safety site engineering, and computer science. Yohani Moya owns a business “Lintels Design & Build” and is a Consultant at Magda Green Design. With more than 20 years of experience in the field, he is a great asset to the team.
Darlin Cruz
Darlin, our Office Administrator, received her Bachelor’s in Interior Design in the Dominican Republic, shortly after arriving in the United States, she received another degree in Management in Esperanza College located in Philadelphia. Darlin worked in a decoration store as a manager where she developed an interest in business and event planning and implemented interior design in all of her events. Arriving in the United States at the age of 19, Darlin still uses all of her knowledge that she’s gained and recently became part of the Magda Green Design team as our office administrator. Her passion of decorating still shows in her home as she’s constantly changing styles, but also implements them in the office too. When she’s not taking calls or making appointments with our clients, Darlin likes to travel with her sister to different places to enjoy new experiences and the restaurants that Philadelphia has to offer.
Julisse Melo
Julisse Melo is our Office Coordinator here at Magda Green Design. Currently continuing her studies at Atlantic Cape Community College, she possesses the advantage of being bilingual by effectively communicating in both English and Spanish fluently. She specializes in both internal and external communications by coordinating meetings, educating her peers and capitalizing on opportunities to network.
Heydy Cabrera
Heydy Cabrera is one of our design professionals here at Magda Green Design. Her area of expertise lies in interior renovations, new constructions, additions, make-safes, and demonstration planning of residential and commercial buildings. Originally from Copan Ruinas, Honduras, Heydy’s interest in architecture was inspired as she migrated to the states by the well-known structure of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania’s City Hall. She has obtained her Associates degree in Architecture and has been hands on in the field for 2 years.
